The ships hull creaked and groaned while the waterborne vessel tossed side to side with the rolling waves. She'd been cast aside and forgotten like a bad dream she still had unfinished business and intended to come back a full fledged nightmare, in her mind she'd been abandoned by sergeant Myles over some kind of magic freakshow. Part of her cursed her emotional weakness for not finishing this at the armory and nipping this in the bud before it deteriorated into the bleak shit show it had now become.

There was no doubt the marksman could have been fast enough to draw that pistol of hers at the hip and put a bullet through that crystalline abominations skull piece. She cursed herself for not reeling Myles back in from his insanity even going so far as to make a deal with that devil Franky.

So lost in thought as a wave crashed into the hull and salt water splashed her face she hadn't flinched only taking notice as her finely rolled ciggarette had lost its smoldering hot cherry and that intoxicating goblin weed stopped hitting her lungs. Her mind was so entrenched in this inner conflict she was losing her grasp on sanity as she went through the alleged pros and cons of her actions looking for justification and a high horse to climb so that she may white knight herself for what she'd have to do when the time came and that itchy finger wrapped around that trigger. Normally all a girl felt was recoil but this hit different this was beyond personal.

Bitch was on a mission with a flask full of shine a pocket full of shells and a script for more pain pills then she knew what to do with. Party favors from from her stay at the hobbled gobbler, he may have been a filthy goblin but he was a fine host she'd give him that much.

Her latest fixation was muscle relaxers and nothing took the edge off like a sweet cocktail of alcohol and narcotics, there was just to much trauma to not self medicate to the fullest and rip through a war zone guns blazing. She might have been high out of her mind but from the clouds she saw things with perfect clarity.

Plucking the snuffed out smoke from her lips she pulled a lighter from her pocket and strummed the flint till the flame erupted from the wick. Twisting the paper cylinder around and salvaging what she could as she rotisseried the wetness out of it. Joint back in her mouth as the red hot spot cackled with each pull she breathed life back into it as a capricious plume of earthy smoke spilled from the exhale.

Her thumb slapped the top of the storm lighter and back to the pocket the trinket went.

She found peace in the haze as her demons and angels didn't know there place, the deserter already working the nerve to do what needed to be done. The resolve to start and finish the hunt, and she had a feeling she was in the right direction.

It wasn't hard asking around if anyone had come across a shard face kid and a brick wall of a man. She always seemed to be ten steps behind but now, if he was In Ecith she'd have him cornered and it would be like shooting ducks in a barrel.

There was a pause and a smile her blue eyes ablaze with fanaticism or zeal it was hard to tell the difference, in Franky she trusted that was her God but was he her savior or enslaver only time would tell.
