Party Formation
The buzz of hushed conversations filled the air as Kira found herself amidst a gathering of curious onlookers on one of the main streets of the city. They stood in front of a large poster that was freshly tacked onto the community board. The bold letters at the top read, “BOUNTY,” and underneath, an intricate drawing showcased various types of dragonshards.
As Kira leaned in to scan the details, her heart raced. She knew all too well about how valuable dragonshards were. The ones included in the bounty were Dawnstone and Moonstone which were not stones that immediately interested her, which was probably a good thing since it meant they’d be easier to part with for money.
She rubbed her chin thoughtfully, weighing the potential risks against the tempting rewards. Kira's gaze drifted over the assembled crowd. She wasn't the only one enticed by the promise of the bounty. Eager faces, some young and others lined with the marks of experience, stared at the poster. Many were undoubtedly doing the same calculations in their minds.
There was no denying the allure of the bounty, but venturing alone was out of the question. For one, she had no idea how to actually find or harvest dragonshards. All she could really offer was protection, and perhaps an extra pair of hands.
“Hmm, I wonder if any of these folk might be interested in forming a group with me,” she thought as she tried to catch the eye of others that had gathered around.
Unfortunately most people simply read the poster and moved on. Hunting dragonshards wasn’t exactly something a typical city dweller was cut out for. Then again, in this never-ending winter people would undoubtedly become more desperate for money.
Kira decided she was getting nowhere trying to exchange glances. She spoke up and said, “I’m a mercenary who’d love to go hunting these things down. Anyone want to join me?”
