Act One (12,500)
Act One covers Norani and Juno around ages 8-10 roughly. It will show the setting, and much of the "plot" will be shown through the interactions of the adults around them. Norani and Juno's friendship is on display. Norani's mother and her chieftain have been planning since Prologue to make Norani into a champion, a soldier of great power in Ecith. The reasoning for this is that after the Imperial Invasion, Ecith will need more Champions for the next time they come, and they believe that if they start her early enough, she can become one of those.
Prologue - Norani's mom returns home from the Northlands.
Beginning - Scene and relationship building.
Inciting Incident - Norani and Juno are attacked by X creature one day while exploring too far into the grasses. Barely make it out. Norani feels the need to grow stronger to protect herself and Juno, whereas Juno feels the need to get away.
Second Thoughts - Norani wants to pursue bonding with a raptor, whereas Juno pushes her toward the Pterodactyl, more representative of freedom and would allow them to escape.
Climax - Norani faces down the Matriarch in Ruvaf's hatching. This cements her path into becoming a soldier. Juno realizes Norani is on this path now, and reluctantly pursues her own raptor to cement her life in her village.
Act Two - Front (12,500)
Act 2 centers around ages 11-12. Norani and Ruvaf are further developing their bond, spending more time together, at the expense of time with Juno.
Obstacle - Norani and Ruvaf get stuck out in the wilds during a storm. Spirits help Norani though she doesnt recognize them for what they are yet. Meanwhile, Juno, who was too scared to go, stays behind. Learns that Norani is slated to be initiated.
Obstacle - Some mages are brought to the village to check Norani's affinity toward certain magics. Juno works to try and distract Norani away from this. Conflict? In doing so, one of the spirits from the storm begins teasing the winds to Norani's emotions and this is seen by the mage.
Twist - Norani is initiated into Elementalism. This cements her path as to becoming a mage and potential champion. Juno believes shes never gonna be able to get them both away and out.
Act Two - Back (12,500)
Age 16
Obstacle - Ruvaf is slow in his growth development, still not big enough to carry Norani. In an effort to help him grow bigger and stronger, Norani seeks out another rider to get guidance on him. They spend more time together, and thus, less time with Juno. Juno begins learning some basic healing which is common in her village, resigned that if she can't leave with Norani, maybe she can take care of her.
Obstacle - Norani goes out on a hunt for a special flower, a favorite of Juno's, to bring back to make her friend happy. Is attacked in the process because she went alone, and was injured, the flower getting destroyed. Norani is brought back for healing, ashamed, pride hurt, embarrassed by her hubris and failure, lashes out at Juno who is helping to care for her.
Crisis - Big argument, declaration of youthful love from Juno, asking Norani to go to the Senate, tell them what her village did to her. Norani refuses. They go their separate ways in anger.
Climax - In her isolation and loneliness, Juno is taken by the Unknown. This cements Norani's path as to moving forward without distraction.
Act Three (12,500)
Descending action - With Juno gone, Norani's only true distraction from her purpose as determined by her mother and chieftain is removed. After some time when it is discovered through the artwork and tattoos that Juno existed and was taken, the Chieftain forbids anyone from telling Norani about her, knowing that she needs to stay distraction free. Norani's memory now feels foreign to her and she has a pain she can't quite tell is there. Continues to move forward into her adulthood, ends with her joining the military.
