Six days. Six days the survivors had decided to hole up in the room. As the undead had no humanish qualities left, there was no distinction for day and night when they had to leave the room to grab what remains of the food and water in the building they were in- only that from their view of their immediate surroundings from the window there were not many undead lingering around to risk getting any unwanted attention. That said the good and water was running out. More importantly, Dakkur's patience and the others were running out. They were only together because of circumstances and that made for a tenuous link to keep things peaceful. The only reason why there had been no heated altercations was because no one wanted to be the one to bring the zombies into the building. Sometimes, Dakkur thought he would give anything for a well made runecaster. On the other times he thought he would give anything for a runecaster with one good shell, to be used on himself. Why oh why did Zaichaer have to be so suspicious of non humans? If they were not such jackasses about it, it would be safe for him to carry his own runecaster around as he wanted and at least have a weapon for himself to make his own escape.

But wait. He did have another weapon. However to use it would be even more dangerous than simply bringing around a runecaster with him. After six days with the other survivors, Dakkur started to get a measure of the other survivors with him. Three more and he started to learn of their own qualities and personalities. Two... Dakkur had enough. "We should make our escape soon or at least have someone get us help. The undead right outside are already thinning and we can see at least ten buildings over. We could have someone jump towards that building and slowly make their way to get us help. Me? Can't you see me? I'm too big and heavy. I'll drop on the ground like a rock and get attacked by the undead. Maybe if I'm lucky I'll land on one to take it out before I die but one for one doesn't seem to be the math for me" or in Dakkur's own interests in keeping himself alive. It was not like he was the only person who wanted to stay alive. Everyone else had the same instinct and desire. Some more than the others.

It was when he went out for yet another food and water run with the man he identified as having the strongest survival instinct among them he decided to make an attempt for it. "I believe I have a way to help us escape but you'll need to keep it a secret for me because its a secret dangerous to me if the wrong people learned about it." What was the secret about? Magic! Fortunately as Dakkur calculated the man's survival instinct won out of his xenophobic and anti mage sentiments and Dakkur explained his plan. Not in its entirety. Why should he teach the rubes of Zaichaer the intricacies of magic when it was of no benefit to him. What he did share was the rough idea of the plan because that was where the benefit lie in him for "you see, I'm a summoner and I could summon something to help us fight our way out of this mess and get us back to where the living are." That could be the truest thing he would tell the man on that day. The rest? Fabrications in hopes that the man would actually agree to his strange plans.

"Well I can't have the summon in myself because I have to maintain it. If it was as easy as you think it is, don't you think us summoners would be ruling the world by now?" Actually it was that easy and Dakkur actually represented the outlier thanks to his own quirks allowing him to do this. "Yeah well, I don't have friends but I think we both have something stronger than friendship, our will to survive." That much was true although Dakkur knew that it was after when the man's true colours would be shown and he did not trust the man at all to keep his secret. That said if it was all until then... "we'll wait for a few more days before we execute the plan. Better for me and you to prepare. Don't tell anyone else alright?" although there was nothing to prepare for. All those instructions Dakkur gave the man so he could prepare, some more annoying than the others, were more of tests to see if the man would crack and blurt out his secret and so far, it looked like he planned no such thing.
