12 Frost, Year 123
[Closed - Solo]
“This will do nicely,” Athalia said approvingly as the sisters smoothed out the blanket and laid the weight stones on the corners. It was a good place to have a picnic together, and Hilana had her bow and arrrows to practice as well. She knew that she was a long ways off from going for moving targets without the aid of Elementalism; but that didn’t mean she should stop trying. She was definitely out of sorts after her years in Tertium, but practice made perfect. The muscle memory would come back. But that would come later. Lunch was first.
Lia had brought some embroidery that she was working on, Scrivening into the fabric with spellthread. That would keep her busy for a while; fingerless gloves for Hilana for when her hands started to get stiff as they sometimes did following her adventures to the Western Tower in Glade. It had been some time, but with the new chill in the air from Frost - or, rather, traditional temperatures returning now that the Sceptre of Avaerys was not active full time anymore in terms of giving life-giving light, Athalia was concerned that the cold would lead to increased bouts with the stiffness in her hands. And Hilana very much needed those hands for her work. All of it. She was not a Kineticist, and the elder sister hoped the younger one would pursue that Rune rather than Summoning.
But until she did, it was a matter of Scrivening the Glyphs into place that would activate the Frostrylyth and Pyrolyth shards to alternate heat and cooling in intervals to assist with the partial petrification the Vastiana suffered from from time to time. Fingerless, because Hilana rarely wore gloves unless it was necessary, and this way, Athalia could put her usual ward against dirt and debris into the fabric, considering how the wild one was such a frolicking dirt child...
