Cracking the Whip [Solo]

Ever since she had gotten that Voidrillium chain whip in the Void from that demonic entity, Hilana had been determined to learn how to use it. Domina Divina was She of the Scourge, and it was fitting that she could learn how to use one here. She'd watched it done often enough, and after some time, had decided to approach a street performer to pay for a lesson or three on how to accurately use a whip.
That was how she was standing outside the city walls with Naritza, a young woman of mixed parentage who Hilana had watched busking with a pair of whips, wielding both simultaneously. She wasn't so ambitious as to consider attempting that, but considering her first shot with that whip had dislocated both elbow and shoulder, a much more normal weapon would be a good way to learn the basics. Hilana had paid in advance for the lesson, since the performer was less than trusting when it came to the young woman's proposal. And the Vastiana certainly looked outlandish when it came to the possibility of learning how to do this properly.
Fortunately, she'd chosen shorter, more form-fitting skirts that were less spread out, and therefore less likely to get tangled in the body of the whip. In time, once she got used to the movement and motions, she could handicap herself with her attire. But for the moment, getting the foundations figured out took precedence. "So," Naritza handed Hilana one of her smaller whips. "Longer isn't always better, especially to start. It's easier to get it tangled and stuck on things when you're learning how to control it, and you're better off starting small. Save the ambition for later, right? Now, watch."
She all but tossed one of her other whips out behind her, letting it unfurl neatly. It wasn't straight, but it didn't have to be.
