• Hyoga, like many other Avialae, holds a stature of 7' 2". He is an imposing individual to stand next to weighing a solid 240lbs. With a developed physique he is physically intimidating to the foolish. He sports short hair and changes the color as often as his mood shifts. His skin is pure porcelain and his complexion is flawless. His eyes shift from fluorescent hues of amber, pale blue, and a smokey grey.

• He admires those with wisdom and experience and is known to acknowledge another man/woman's abilities when given the chance. Despite his initial childish demeanor, he becomes fiercely determined whenever the chance to test or display his skill is given. It is seen that when engaged in combat he maintains a slight smile on his face, be it he is at an advantage or disadvantage.
  
  He considers fighting to be the purest form of a warrior's self-expression and tries to make each battle as much fun as he possibly can, even taking deadly risks to drag out fights for as long as possible. Hyoga will often be seen constantly smiling when engaging in a fight with a formidable opponent, having a sort of childish glee about him.
  
  He considers the only honorable battles to be the ones fought one-on-one. Even the threat of death is not a reason to ignore this fact, for he believes the winner is only determined when the other dies.

龍 History

• Born to an honorable father and mother in a village outside of Kalzasi, Hyoga learned the beauty of battle & magic at a very young age. His father was a Freelance monster hunter, finding honor and fame in slaying dangerous beasts around the Karnor countryside, whereas his mother was an accomplished sorceress of skill to aid their village.
  
  He spent most of his childhood learning the lifestyle of a warrior, as much as a young kid could grasp at that time. During these times he taught him both the joys and hardships of life itself, learning to accept the beauty in all things. They showed him many wonders of both his father's and mother's people and made sure to instill pride in his heritage.
  
  His mother taught him the ways of magic, inscribing the rune of elementalism on him, and shepherding him in the art of rune magic. She instilled in him the importance of tranquility and being one with nature in order to commune and shape the elements to his will. It was tough, but Raiku pushed through his training.
  
  His father, on the other hand, taught him lessons in combat. Hyoga learned the family business, both in theory in lectures and hands-on joining his father in the field. From ages 10-15, he was hard at work, training, and trying to perfect his skill with the only weapon that felt right in his hands, a spear.
  
  Seeing the potential in his son, his father gave him the Rune of Reaving. This was the final step and with it, Hyoga learned an important lesson as a warrior, and that was no matter who your opponent is, fight as if it's your final battle. It was a lesson he would carry with him into every battle afterward.
  
  Things seemed to be going so well for Hyoga, but tragedy soon struck him and his village after his 19th birthday. While out on a hunt the smell of smoke drifted in the air, the direction coming from where his village was. Rushing back he couldnt believe his eyes, as his village was ablaze in flame. Rushing in, he tried to soothe the flames engulfing his town but they were too loud to listen to him, too powerful.
  
  He immediately tried to find his parents, but he didnt know he would find them as he did. His mother was clinging to life, only for him to witness his father being slain before him. As his father fell Hyoga saw them, their forms covered in shadow from the raging flames. Five grisly shadows stared down at him, one of which he only recognized as a fellow Avialae by their wings.
  
  "If you hate us enough to seek revenge for what we did, then come find us when you are stronger, until try not to die as the last son of the Yoko Clan." a feminine voice hissed to him, the figures vanishing within the flames. Tears pouring from his eyes he let out a cry of anger, pain, and sorrow. Taking his mother in his arms, he went to take her to get help, but she refused and told him that it was already too late for her.
  
  She told him she was sorry for not telling him about his father's clan sooner, that she failed as a parent to protect her baby boy. With her final breath, she told him how proud of him she was, for being so strong and talented. She told him to seek out her sister in Kalzasi, as she would be able to help Hyoga in his journey.
  
  With that, she died in his arms, to which he spent the next five hours sobbing uncontrollably. On the next day, Hyoga buried his mother and father, and soon after, left on a journey of self-discovery and honing his skills. For 6 years Hyoga traveled around the Northern Free cities, earning a living as a monster slayer as well as honing his craft in magic and combat.
  
  At the end of his journey, Hyoga sought out his auntie like his mother instructed, coming to find himself in the city of Kalzasi.

Having suffered the mindbending touch of a being that cannot even be remotely described as mortal, a piece of that creature's madness has been left inside of Hikami forever more. As a being that is not altogether mortal himself, Hikami can feel the soft whispering call of this essence that has marked him. To embrace it is to be granted the power to invoke something truly powerful and terrible but doing so opens the door to madness and mayhem. Use it wisely.

• Acid Waters - Touching upon the lingering effects of the poison left within him, Hikami has now gained the power to transmute his elemental water or ice into acid. This acid is incredibly deadly, easily burning through any and all mundane substances that are not reinforced by magic. Hikami can manifest this acid in liquid, solid (ice), or gaseous form.
• Jester's Laughter - The entity that puppetted Hikami was something altogether otherworldly, eldritch and weird. That touch has had a lingering effect. This manifests as Himaki being able to will his waters or the vapors created from them into hallucinogens. Anyone who either drinks or breathes in the gases he can produce will suffer hallucinations. Hikami can choose to make them either euphoric and pleasant or terrifying and debilitating.
• Gaseous Form - Hikami can now invoke a gaseous form. He is capable of imbuing this form with the aforementioned properties of acid or hallucination at will.

The spirit of ice has been entirely consumed by Hikami's excessive use of magic. He now loses all the forms that he possessed as a benefit of that spirit, and instead, will now have a new core to serve as his life force during his recovery period. Because of the grand scale of his severity in Overstepping, casting spells and techniques above Journeyman level is going to be a challenge to manifest. It will still be possible to do so but the cost of a mid-grade spell (journeyman level) is going to be twice as taxing, making high-grade+ spells even more difficult to perform or maintain.

He also gains a very temporary buff thanks to Rickter's intervention:
Auriel's Benediction which is the overcharged anchor that is now serving as Hikami's core during the recovery process. The caveats of this buff are the following:

• The length of time this boon lasts is a full year from the date of this thread. The primary function of this boon will no longer work prior after that date.
• Auriel's Benediction is charged with two functional tasks, the primary task being that it serves as an aetheric battery to Hikami. Combined with the natural aether residing in Lake Udori, this significantly helps bolster Hikami's depleted aether, gradually bouncing back at a steadier (but not accelerated) rate compared to most severely Overstepped individuals.
• In lieu of the first task, Hikami can maintain the basic Kathar form he possessed after a full season spent in recovery. It will still be painful to maintain for extended periods of time, but since he's essentially rebuilding his endurance from scratch, water can hold memory to a degree that allows this simpler form to remain easier to maintain.
• The secondary function of Auriel's Benediction is to serve as a failsafe to warn Hikami. By no means is this aetheric battery a literal booster to his aether, its primary function is to draw in ambient aether that helps gradually wane the taxation of Overstepping so severely.
• Should Hikami ever come at risk, even so much as cross his limitations into Minor Overstepping, this will damage the lingering ward of the second function; serving as a final warning of the limitations that Hikami is beginning to breach. Further overstepping will see this ward completely depleted, in turn, destroying Auriel's Benediction which in turn will cement the death of Hikami.
• Masters of the Negation rune can recharge the secondary function of Auriel's Benediction, however, the primary function can only be recharged by the original caster (Rickter) alone should it ever become a necessity.

Arsenal Roulette - Apprentice

• Upon reaching Apprentice in Reaving, Hyoga finds that his pact weapons, when called or choosing one, rotate around him like a roulette wheel. This acts as a catalog for him, summoning aethereal versions of his pact weapons to choose from. Once chosen his weapons will glow in an aura with fiery patterns and colors in fiery hues of azure, black, & grey. To add to this, a crown-like halo of blazing hues floats an inch above his head, giving him a divine appearance whenever wielding his pact weapon(s).

Battle Smiting - Journeyman

• As a quirk that is aggressive in nature, this quirk turns Hyoga into a vicious head hunter on the battlefield. As an incarnation of war, one must eliminate those who grant the greatest challenge in battle, and the way his rune has interwoven itself into his very being at this point shows in this quirk, compelling him to test his skills every battle. Once per battle, Hyoga enters a bloodlust-like trance, his eyes blazing intensely with the same fiery ethereal opulence as his pact weapons, urged to seek and slay whoever he thinks to be the most skilled in the enemy group. He will have to rely on his own basic instincts to assess who he feels fits that description. He may be right, or he may be wrong, but as he grows to understand combat and war more through experience he will get better at recognizing skilled warriors. This quirk comes with the threat of death if facing an enemy of greater skill than himself, not to mention the considerable mental and physical strain on Hyoga. Though it doesn't take effect after the trance wears off, once the battle concludes he will find himself beset with a severe case of exhaustion, forcing him to rest for 24hours

Water Becomes Him - Apprentice

• At the apprentice level Hyoga begins to see that water favors him. When in the presence of water, it will lean and ripple in his direction, yearning to submerge him in its cooling embrace. Sources of water within 20ft of him or under his manipulation turns a mystifying azure hue with subtle hints of silver glittering within. His skin also has spots along his chest, forearms, lower back, and thighs with iridescent opal scales. A misty like aura softly radiates from his body as well, giving him a look as if he is being delicately splashed by waves. His connection to waters heightens as he is able to sense sources up to 40ft of himself, attributing the sensation as if the water calling out to him. When manifesting water his eyes will glow, taking on reflective hues reminiscent of having mini pools of water for eyes.

Living Frost - Journeyman

• Progressing to Journeyman, and gaining the ability of Blending, Hyoga has been compelled to mix water with wind, producing ice. Whenever using his arche element of water, Hyoga's wings radiate with the same misty aura as the previous quirk, though this mist is cold to the touch. Because the relationship between him and water is as strong as it is, he finds that whenever he is manipulating the element, it is ice cold, those he uses it on feeling as if being hit by a frozen lake. His personality also changes, as he breaks from that erratic and impulsive and nature, taking on characteristics of water & ice; calm, stoic, easy-going.
  
  It is feasible to say that because of Hyoga's connection to the element of water his inability to deviate from it means he devotes a lot more specialization to it, thus enabling him to more easily manipulate it. Because of the possessive nature that water has with Hyoga, it will only allow him to manifest and sculpt water naturally from his own aether more easily and in a larger quantity than others of his skill level. If forced to utilize wind, earth, or fire, he must use an outside source. Because of the water's desire to be close to him, the other elements he wields besides it take on characteristics of water & ice; wind becomes ice-cold, the earth is dense like thick ice, and fire burns an icy blue.

Blessing of Udori - Expert

• In response to both Hyoga's connection to water and ice, as well as his opening up to a power greater than himself here and the related events around the Avalanche of Frost 121, Hyoga has heavily overstepped and received an altered Quirk.
  
  ⓵: The Blessing of Udori has fundamentally changed Hyoga permanently. His body is now made an amalgamation of living water, ice, and Aether, holding the shape of what his own self-image shows. This may change as his moods or personality change and grow, but they are subtle changes. Additionally, because he's taken this form, he's been cut off from the Elements of Earth and Fire. However, this has led to his Water and Wind based powers doubling in raw power and effectiveness at all levels.
  
  ⓶: Staying in his watery, natural form costs no aether, however, Hyoga can expend his Aether to look more like his original self. The cost of this is tied to his Resistance skill. At Novice, maintaining his original form will be extremely taxing. The cost is halved at Apprentice, halved again at Journeyman, is barely noticed at Expert, and costs no aether at all at Master.
  
  ⓷: Additionally, the Blessing of Udori has awoken Hyoga's magic to a more sapient level. Hyoga's magic within him will take on the persona of the Spirit of Udori. Hyoga can unlock enhancements to his form by improving the relationship with his Spirit of Udori. This is represented by the social skill of Leadership. At Novice, Hyoga gains icy claws and fangs. At Apprentice, he gains a long, serpentine tail. At Journeyman, he gains wings capable of granting him flight (based on flying skill). At Expert, he gains a humanoid dragon-like form. At Master, he gains a full Ice Dragon form. It should be noted that activating these aspects does cost a high amount of aether, but costs no aether to stay in the form once active.
  
  ⓸: Finally, the Blessing of Udori gives Hyoga access to the ambient aether of the entirety of Lake Udori, while physically touching it while in range of it. He can use it to recharge, to power him while using his magic, and any other methods. However, this is tied to his meditation skill. At Novice, Hyoga may recharge his completely depleted Aether in 24 hours. At Apprentice 12 hours. At Journeyman, 6 hours. At Expert, 3 hours. At Master, Hyoga effectively has unlimited Aether while in the presence of Lake Udori. It should be noted that this does not prevent Overstepping. If anything, having access to much more Aether than one's natural form allows, can cause him to overstep far worse than thought possible.

• With the Rune of Reaving inscribed on hin Hyoga begins to shift to becoming an embodiment of battle, the personification of combat itself made flesh. As he progresses within the magic, the rune intermingling with his soul more and more, Raiku gains the desire to cleave through the world, overcoming any obstacle that appears in his way, dominating the field of battle in a blaze of glory. In this way, the rune reacts to this desire and molds Hyoga into the perfect weapon - the Incarnation of War.

Novice

• Pact: Acquired at Novice. The foundation of a reaver’s powers is the ability to form the Pact. A Pact should only ever be performed on a mundane weapon or soul cairn artefact. Attempting to form a Pact with a pre-existing runeforged artifact and other such objects is a recipe for disaster and something only the most esteemed masters can hope to achieve, even then there is only a slim chance of success. Reavers gradually grow to be able to maintain several Pacts as they progress in power. Pacts can be formed with: Blades, Bows, Maces, Polearms, Arrows, Shields, even Guns. If a player has a question about whether or not an object can be formed into a Pact Weapon, ask a moderator. The rule of thumb is that it should be something that is intentionally designed to be an instrument of war and battle. Pact weapons are an extension of the reaver. They spend a considerable amount of time doused in the wizard’s aether and even being housed within their very soul. As a result of this, they are very unique magical objects. Over time, a pact weapon’s appearance will begin to take on physical traits that reflect beliefs that the wizard may hold or certain attributes about them. While purely aesthetic, a reaver’s pact weapon says a lot about them and their journey as a reaver in general.

• Materialize: Acquired at Novice. By tapping into the power of their rune, the reaver opens the door for their weapon to manifest in the physical realm. It costs a reaver next to nothing to simply manifest their individual pact weapons. A materialized pact weapon will remain in the physical world until it is actively dismissed by the wizard, shattered, or dematerialized because this aether cost in and of itself is so minimal.

• Dematerialize: Acquired at Novice. The wizard recalls their pact weapon into themselves. Many reavers brace themselves as the weapon instantaneously dematerializes in totality once recalled. They are then subject to the full force of the pain induced by the act. If able, most reavers meditate before recalling their pact weapons into themselves in order to mitigate the severity of the experience. As a result of this, most reavers build up extensive meditation skills and develop a high tolerance for pain. Fortunately, the pain is dramatically reduced as one progresses through the magic, becoming a sting at best at Master. A pact weapon will dematerialize on its own if too far from the reaver.

  ---

• Returning: Acquired at Novice. Pact weapons are continually tied to the wizard they are bonded to. By reaching out across this bond, the wizard can return their pact weapon to their side at will unless unable to do so. The pact weapon does not inherently possess the ability to pass through solid objects and thus it can be blocked from returning to the wizard’s side if summoned in this manner. It does not dematerialize and then rematerializes in the wizard’s hand unless they actively will it to do so. Dematerializing a pact weapon will induce its effects on the reaver, always.

Apprentice

• Projection: Acquired at Apprentice. Projection is a means by which the reaver can channel their awareness through their pact weapon. It becomes a proxy for their sight and hearing though they are only capable of perceiving up to a limited range. The pact weapon must be placed wherever they are attempting to project their awareness. While projecting, the wizard is blind and deaf to their immediate surroundings until such time as they cease projecting.

  ---

• Sanctuary: Acquired at Apprentice. An evolution of dematerializing but one that requires a specific set of circumstances, the power of sanctuary was developed to lessen the effects of dematerialization with pact weapons. The reaver initiates this by stirring their aether into motion and slowly opening up themselves to recalling their pact weapon into themselves. In order to mitigate the experiences written upon the aether of the blade and thus reduce the amount of pain one feels upon recalling it, the reaver must give the weapon new experiences. This is achieved by entering a slow, meditative series of steps with their weapon. The sanctuary lasts as long as the wizard has the strength to sustain it but must be undertaken for double the length of time of the fight in which the pact weapon was used. It is a strong tool but one that must be balanced with the mage’s own fatigue and overall wellbeing. There is a time and place for this technique and in the heat of battle is not one of them.

• Varnish: Acquired at Apprentice. The ability through which a reaver can channel other forms of personal magic through their pact weapon. The reaver must be touching their pact weapon in order to first bestow a varnished ability upon it. Channeling the power of the Rune of Reaving, the reaver partially dematerializes the pact weapon. They then subject the pact weapon to the magical effect they wish to varnish it with. The aether of the weapon will retain this arcane form of programming and will then be able to reproduce that specific ability until it is fully dematerialized. The varnish will only allow the weapon to manifest the specific ability it is varnished with. The properties of dragonshards can be applied in this same manner. All varnishes will dissipate once the weapon is next dematerialized and must then be reapplied upon being materialized again. Activating a pact weapon’s varnished ability is the same as using the ability oneself in terms of aether expenditure.

• Morphosis: Acquired at Apprentice. A Reaver's relationship over the weapons with which they form a Pact is a unique thing. Nothing quite displays this uniqueness than the ability of Morphosis. Through Morphosis, the reaver can alter the physical structure of the weaponry they have formed a Pact with. The reaver partially dematerializes their pact weapon and morphs its physical form into the shape desired. The caveat to this is that it must be of the same family of weaponry and it must be a weapon that the reaver has knowledge of in terms of use. For instance, a reaver can take a basic longsword and introduce a serrated edge to the blade provided they have used or studied a longsword with a serrated edge. This ability, above all, is a key reason why reavers tend to be so diverse in their knowledge of weaponry and fighting styles.

Journeyman

• Transmute: Acquired at Journeyman. Through Transmute, the Reaver can alter the composition of the weaponry they have formed a Pact with. This is done by meditating over the desired pact weapon and partially dematerializing it. The reaver then takes the material they wish to weave into the makeup of their pact weapon and carefully begins to channel it into their weapon. When done successfully, the chosen material will become part of that specific pact weapon and the reaver will be able to transmute their pact weapon into that material at will. At more advanced stages, the reaver can even blend together the properties of different materials they have integrated into the makeup of their pact weaponry. For instance, giving a sword the appearance of wood while retaining the sharpness and sturdiness of steel.

  ---

• Duplicity: Acquired at Journeyman. The power to create duplicate copies of their pact weapon is an iconic ability among reavers. The mage must be physically touching their pact weapon. They then extend their aether and use it to replicate a copy of the pact weapon. Duplicated pact weapons always manifest as mundane weaponry and behave as such. They are not the original pact weapon and thus lack any of its inherent abilities and strengths, they are merely copies. As they are not the original pact weapon, dematerializing a duplicate is akin to simply dismissing an aether construct.

• Dancing: Acquired at Journeyman. A reaver and their pact weapon are as one, nothing displays this more than the ability to Dance with those pact weapons. As previously mentioned, a bridge exists between the reaver and their pact weapons at all times while it is materialized. By extending their power and awareness into this bridge, the reaver can manipulate their pact weapons remotely. Dancing requires extensive amounts of practice and training to truly master and the further the weapon is from the reaver, the more draining it is to Dance with.

Expert

• Rebuke: Acquired at Expert. The power of Rebuke is a passive ability with great impact to the Reaver. It is less of a power and more a result of the reaver’s bond with their pact weaponry. The reaver’s pact weapons have been doused within the aether of the wizard’s soul, housed within the essence of their very being. As a result, some level of rudimentary sentience has bled off into the pact weaponry at a reaver’s disposal. The power of Rebuke manifests as the pact weapon actively working to protect and defend the reaver. Each instance of this manifestation counts as casting a spell or using an ability and thus is draining upon the reaver. However, a pact weapon that enacts Rebuke may very well save a reaver’s life. Through this ability, the pact weapon may move itself into the path of an oncoming blade, it may deflect an arrow that might have been lethal, or it may even activate a varnished ability that it has been imbued with. In any instance, the Rebuke works toward protecting the mage from harm. A Rebuke is a single, immediate, life-saving action that once performed, is finished, with its purpose having been served.
  
  In order for Rebuke to take effect, the pact weapon must already be physically materialized. A pact weapon will not materialize as a result of this ability. It must be within the wizard’s immediate vicinity where the action provoking the Rebuke takes place. In order to activate a varnished ability, that ability must have already been applied to it. In the case of a soul cairn artefact, the soul within the pact weapon can even go so far as to Dance in defense of the mage.

Motif - Yuki Ryū

• The Rune of Elementalism intermingles the natural traits of water into the soul of Hyoga. Most notably, it causes his impulsive personality to mellow out, making him calm, easy-going, and attentive in his daily interactions mimicking the traits of water. As he progresses, he will become more akin to a dragon born of the tranquility of the snowfall from the heavens, the Yuki Ryū.

Novice

• Influence: Gained at Novice. The ability to exert one’s will upon the elements found in the natural environment around them. It is achieved by establishing a bridge between the wizard’s personal aether and the aether of the elemental substance found around them. Once established, the wizard can then manipulate it as they desire, to an extent. Elementalists commune with the elements as opposed to lording over them. The power that an Elementalist command is born from a relationship fostered with the natural forces of the world in a give and take dynamic. The wizard creates a bridge between themselves and the element they wish to influence and is able to coerce it into action by feeding it their aether. The Rune of Elements anthropomorphizes the elements for the wizard awakening them to their moods, whispers, and purposes.

  Gained at Apprentice. The ability to sculpt is the ability to shape an element to more closely match a purpose intended by the Elementalist whether artistic or pragmatic. An earth Elementalist might reshape a piece of rock from a simple lump to a smooth sphere or a cube. A fire Elementalist might coerce the flames to take on the appearance of a blade or other such shapes. The more refined and complex the shape, the more difficult it is for the wizard to sculpt.

  Gained at Apprentice. Allowing for mundane items to be reinforced and instilled with the properties of a particular element or para-element for a limited duration of time.

  Elemental Lodestone
  
  Gained at Apprentice. While the elements manipulated in the world are mundane and simply influenced by the wizard's willpower and communion with the elements, that which is manifested by the wizard of their aether is considered magical in their entirety. Through experimentation and research, elementalists unlocked the power of the Elemental Lodestones. By manipulating Earth Magic, the wizard can create quartz-like crystals formed entirely from their aether. Once complete, the wizard can then imbue these crystals with their own elemental magic. The most powerful versions of these crystals are even capable of holding other forms of Personal Magic.

Journeyman

• Arche
  
  Gained at Journeyman. As the Elementalist grows more powerful and acquires the ability to influence, manifest and sculpt more elements simultaneously, they are faced with a decision once they’ve reached Journeyman status. They gain an Arche Element. The elemental force that has, over time, become closest to the elementalist taking a place in their magical practices far above that of the others. An Elementalist will only ever gain a single Arche Element but through this relationship and bonding many incredible things can be achieved outside of what would be possible with elements that do not share in the dynamics of an Arche. The Arche element will answer the call of the elementalist more readily, it will more easily serve as a conduit of the mage's power and is likened to having a close friend and elemental spirit always nearby.

  Blending
  
  Gained at Journeyman. The ability to combine elements in order to create para-elements. The wizard is only able to blend elements with their Arche Element or the Attuned Element of their environment. For instance, an Elementalist whose arche is Water can blend together Water and Earth but cannot blend together Fire and Earth as fire is not their arche.

  Deference
  
  Gained at Journeyman. The Elementalist gains heightened resistance to their Arche Element. Furthermore, the elements in general show a level of awareness and respect to the elementalist. The elementalist will seldom be without water in a desert, the fire in a burning building might withhold some of its intensity allowing for lives to be saved more quickly and successfully. It remains a conversation and the more aware the elementalist is of this conversation, the more understanding they gain in how to navigate the moods of the elements in the world around them.

Expert

• Elemental Attunement: Gained at Expert. Every environment has an element that tends to dominate that particular area. A mine might be dominated by the element of earth or perhaps fire in the case of an underground lava flow. The desert could be dominated by earth or the scorching heat of fire or even the biting of the winds in more frozen climates. Upon becoming an expert in Elementalism, the wizard can reach out to their environment and attune to the element that logically stands out the most. With the exception of their Arche element, attuning to the predominant element in an environment means operating at a higher level with that particular element at the cost of the others being greatly subdued for the wizard. Attuned elements can be blended with their arche element with greater ease. Additionally, the wizard can blend other elements with the element they are attuned to though it is more difficult than would be with their arche element.
  
  In order to attune to the element in their environment, the wizard meditates and reaches out to the environment around them. After a period of a few hours, the element that is strongest in that area will become attuned to them. Wizards who are skilled in meditation will see this time lessened. It is ill-advised to remain attuned to a particular element where it is not dominant. This will have the adverse effect of taxing the wizard's strength considerably as their attuned element attempts to manifest at the levels as would be normal where it is usually the dominant element.
  
  A wizard can only be attuned to a single element at a time. They can attune to a new element whenever they so choose as long as they have the time and freedom to meditate appropriately.

Master

• Prescience: Gained at Master. The Elementalist's Arche Element makes a point to protect their Elementalist. The wind might intercede an incoming arrow and redirect it or a sheet of fire might suddenly manifest and burn an incoming aggressor. In each instance, it is considered to be a spell being cast by the Elementalist, regardless of how it manifests. They gain immunity from harm to their Arche Element in all of its forms.
• Synergy: Gained at Master. The elementalist becomes a living embodiment of their Arche Element for a short time. While utilizing this ability the elementalist is capable of extraordinary feats with their Arche Element. An earth elementalist could compel the earth into motion so as to create an earthquake that can topple a city. A wind elementalist could be able to conjure tornadoes and hurricanes to cause mass devastation. While a lesser elementalist could certainly coerce the elements into motion to similar effect, the difference lies in the fact that the synergy enables the elementalist to become that which they manifest. Their Arche Element becomes a willing vector for their presence and power in the purview of the area the elementalist can affect. A synergy between the elementalist and their arche element can be used to miraculous or devastating effect that makes them truly terrifying to behold. The synergy can only be maintained safely for a few hours at most and will always induce heavy amounts of overstepping once ended.

• Yumeko is a mature and collected woman. Intelligent and elegant, she appreciates the value of patience and planning, though is known through the Northern mercenary scene to be fierce and uncompromising. Though her marriage was arranged, she genuinely loved her husband and did everything in her power to help shoulder his ambition before his passing, picking up the mantle as the head of the house.
  
  To her friends and loved ones, she is quite generous and can be quite nurturing to those younger. Despite her impeccable composure, Lady Yoko has been shown to be quite sarcastic at times and will openly chastise those who act selfishly or insensitively. She also has little patience for those who underestimate her as well as any chauvinistic attitudes in general. She takes great pride in her skills and learned abilities and can tackle anything that comes her way just like any man could.
  
  Yumeko is known to be a very brilliant and accomplished tactician, a skill seen in both combative or social settings, especially during times of war. She will never follow blindly and her inquisitive nature causes her to question authority when warranted. Description: Were to begin. Hansui was born in Low-City. He was always a happy child, well for a while he was. At age 10 his mother was beaten to death by his drunk of a father, after which Hansui spent the next 4 years under his father's abuse, causing him to develop extreme trust issues. It was at age 15 the young man had finally had enough and ran away from home, but not before setting the place ablaze, his drunken father trapped inside. From age 15 to age 17 he was homeless, doing everything he could to survive.

When he turned 18, he found himself selling his body for food among other things, along with some other boys & girls who shared the same tortured upbringing as him. They were just drawn to him, eventually making him their so-called leader. He was always in trouble with the local peasants in the Low-City, so much so the local knights knew him by name.

It was not the easiest life but it was one that he had come accustomed to, making sure his fellow street orphans were taken care of. One day he found himself in quite a predicament. One of the girls in his group was being harassed by a group of drunken men, Hansui coming to her rescue, only to find himself outnumbered. He was beaten within an inch of his life that night even with his martial arts skill, and just as things looked grim, a ray of hope appeared.

A large man with wings had stumbled onto the scuffle and used a single blast of wind to end the beating. The drunks were scared more than anything and ran off. The man that saved Hansui was looked like a celestial through his swollen eyes, his large wings obscuring the man's face as he was tending to the wounds of both Hansui and the girl.

Hansui was shocked yet intrigued by the act of kindness shown to him by the stranger, and a fascination began to grow. Hansui would always be seen out of the corner of the warrior's eye, following him wherever he went, causing the Avialae to be amused by him. Eventually, the warrior confronted Hansui, introducing himself as Hyoga Yoko.

Ever since then Hansui has been at Hyoga's side whenever possible, owing to the man his life, a debt he plans to pay even if it kills him.
