Some kind of intro here...

Doctrine and Beliefs

The doctrine of the Church has been carefully crafted over the centuries since before the age of Steel. It began as a small faction within the budding kingdom, but quickly grew as the Imperium developed and the influence of the Imperial Inquisition began to spread. The role of the Church was to infuse faith with loyalty to the Imperium, putting emphasis on those gods which supported the Imperial Mandate, and suppressing beliefs which were counter to the Inquisition's teachings. Whenever a new domain would fall to the Imperium the Inquisition would create order, and soon after the Church would appear to sooth the ache of subjugation and give the new citizens something greater to cling to.

Core Tenets of the Church

Devotion to the Emperor

The Church teaches that the Emperor is more than a man. He and his blood were selected by the Divines to stand at the forefront of the Imperial Citizens. He is the conduit through which the teachings of the divine are filtered. He takes the unknowable from the greater Aetherium and distills it into knowledge in the form of Imperial Mandates. The Emperor and his blood are upheld as semi-divine themselves, prophets which stand closer to mortals to show them the way where higher beings cannot.

Follow the Imperial Mandate

As the Emperor is the greatest of prophets, his words are to be accepted as divine law. The Imperial Mandates are not simply the word of man, but pure truth written and distributed to the Imperial Citizens. Though they may not understand it, the members of the Church accept the Imperial Mandate as a part of their holy doctrine, with each new Mandate being added to the holy scriptures.

Virtue through Suffering

Time in the world is fleeting, and the suffering felt in the moment is barely a breath in the span of eternity. The Church teaches that to live in the world is to suffer, and through suffering comes virtue. Though the Church does not encourage its members to seek out pain and suffering, it teaches that such things are natural and should be accepted when it comes.

Holiness in Sacrifice

To Sacrifice is to be close to the Divines. Piety is born from humility, which comes from a willingness to sacrifice what one wants for what one needs. The Church teaches that its members must be willing to accept sacrifice when necessary, for themselves and for others.
