For a moment, Aurin regarded the golden elf with a flicker of old hungers in his eyes. He was taking Arry at his word that he wouldn't use his Mesmer without express permission, but he didn't bother to hide the look. Aurin was better at showing than speaking his feelings, and Arry ought to know where they stood. When the smoldering fire turned back into a merry spark, he smirked and reached out to muss those carefully articulated locks.
"You're family," he declared. "But you can always come back bearing international secrets if you wanted to be helpful."
They both had work to do now, professionally and otherwise, so he nodded and started back toward the door.
"If a scorpion stings you, just have Finn suck the poison out." He winked. "If you do end up going to Solunarium, I'll figure out a way to keep your employment here safe. Or we can come up with a new contract when you return. More pay for more experience and international perfromances, hey?"
In one way or another, he was always looking out for Arry. The thought of him leaving was utterly terrifying in some ways, and right in others. He could be far away from possible violence should Zaichaer come knocking and of course he would be better off without Aurin, but... It would be difficult.
For him, anyway.
