Ash 1 122

One day is all she had to get ready for a trip. So yesterday she shopped all day and only found a set of clothing she liked. Honestly she spent most of her time looking for a proper captain's hat and she did not find one. But that was yesterday and yesterday is unimportant. What was important was the door she was expecting and the bag she was packing. She had been over this list a dozen times and honestly she had packed everything she could think of possibly needing. Everything was laid out on the floor. She went over the list, music. She looked up and put her mandolin and tin whistle in the mandolins case. Then put them in the middle of the floor. Food was provided but a set of eating utensils were often recommended on a ship. This one could be different but rather safe than sorry. Flint & Steel also fell under safe or sorry so she put both in her bag. She then placed her preserving kit and jar in her bag as there was no telling what they may find. She then put her extra set of clothing in the bag. She then placed Uncle Skips' box and her journal in the bag. Lastly she put her fishing kit and cast net in the bag. She also placed them in the middle of the floor. Lastly she grabbed her fishing pole and Quarterstaff. About that time the door appeared. She grabbed all her stuff and opened the door.

Stepping through she suddenly remembered her rice supply and just barely caught the door before it closed. "Hey, you with the muscles, yes you, grab a buddy come here." She said dropping the bags on the deck. Once she finally got their attention. She requested their help. "Just need you two for five minutes. See the barrel with the bucket sitting on top? Can you guys get it on this side of the door? Please." She asked. They did as asked and grabbed the heavy barrel and brought it through the door. "We're ya want it miss?" One asked. "Can you put it in my room?" They nodded and walked off with it. She picked up her bag. This time she actually looked around. On the deck was chaos. Not the screams and panic of war but the busy determination of a crew preparing to leave port. Ok so maybe she would not have much help getting to her room but most ships were rather simple or at least similar. And so she closed the door and walked across the deck and down the stairs to what should be the guest rooms. Yes doors with names. That was perfect one challenge down. Next challenge she had to find her name. Nope. Nope. Nope. How many people did the duck invite? Aw yes finally her name was on the door and the rice burral was outside She opened the door to find a blast of heat, golden sand and a cactus. Others would be ticked. Not thinking ships could have a sense of humor.

That was actually hilarious. A complete archetype of the room she could survive in. She closed the door and put down her bag. "OK nice trick." She laughed. She put her hand on the door "lets try this again, shall we," she said Tham grabbed the handle and opened the door again. What awaited her was absolutely amazing.

She stepped into the room and dropped her stuff mouth agape. First thing to note was half the room was sea water. Literally half the room from the back left corner to the front right corner, back was all sea water. In it was a bed made of what looked like a huge colony of harmless fox coral. It was beyond amazing. Some of the coral even moved as if a current pushed it

The other half of her room was simple. A hammock hung in the front left corner above a chest. The dry side floor was carpeted with a soft moss. The room was perfect. "Thank you duck," She said. She grabbed the stuff from outside her room and put it against the wall behind her hammock.

She then put her sea bag and instruments in the chest. Yes she was going to like this ship. She went out to get the barrel but she knew that there was no way she was lifting the 162 lb barrel by herself. She walked down the hallway to find nobody to help her. She then walked all the way back to her room and stared at the barrel and crossed her arms. How was she going to get it into her room? She rolled up her sleeves. And pushed on it. Nothing happened. She stepped back and crossed her arms thinking. Barrels roll right?

She pushed the burral over and rolled it. It was too large to fit through the door. She rolled it back, turned it, and gave another push. It took a lot but she got it in her room, and stood it up. It was definitely in the way but it was in her room. That was the important part. She closed the door and noticed that she had removed some of the moss in her struggle. This upset her so she tried to fix it back. It did not work. Then suddenly it was back to the way it was beforehand. She sat back amazed. Her stomach rumbled. She looked around the room. Something moved in the water. She noticed a man of war jellyfish. Then another. She liked her lips.

She stripped and transferred into her lycan form and crawled into the water half of her room. Perfect temperature water. Perfect salinity. She allowed herself to truly fill the water before going for the easy hunt. There were 3 jellyfish in total and she managed to eat them all. Now full and tired she decided to test the coral. She swam over to the coral bed and laid down. It was a nice soft coral bed that did not try to sting her.

She probably should be meeting the others instead but she figured the others were unpacking like she was. The crew on the other hand were busy. She knew first hand not to be in the way and so she figured the nap would be a good place to be. Her eyes closed. Her body relaxed and soon she was asleep.

Kaiko woke up confused at first. This wasn't her ship. This was a sea floor. But slowly she remembered that she was on the duck in her own room. She began to stretch and push herself away from the soft coral bed when she noticed the water start to glow blue for a second. Kaiko smiled and tilted her head. She smiled and began playing with the glow by moving her arms. She felt like a child and she loved it. But eventually she had to leave the water of her room. She swam to the edge and crawled into the dry side. She would quickly turn into her zion form. Agen she would stretch but this time she would yawn. Sleepily she would get dressed before nothing that something was missing.

Her eyes grew wide as she realised that her rice burral was missing and she immediately began to look through her chest. Finding Uncle Skips box she brought it to herself in a hug relieved it was not gone. Everything else was here so where was her rice and why did they take it? She was not happy about it. She put the stuff back in her chest and grabbed her staff. She clearly had a picture of her rice burral in mind when she opened the door.

Beyond the door was what had to be food storage barrels, boxes and crates were everywhere. It was quickly apparent it was not the hall. Actually this was probably one of those places off limits to passengers. Kaiko began walking around looking for her burral. There were lots of them and for the most part they all looked the same. Except one had a dark green stain on the side. She immediately went and touched it. But what she touched was open air. The burral had simply disappeared. Kaiko stood there confused for a second. But at the sound of someone else she ran back to the door but the door was missing.

Cornered, Kaiko turned ready to face whomever was down here with her. A man of heavy build with a nice beard came into view. "I'm lost, I opened my door and it brought me here." She said honest and innocent. The man looked over at where the missing burral was supposed to be and raised an eye. "Yes, I came looking for my burral but when I went to touch it it disappeared," She said. The man held a scowl for a few seconds before he chuckled. "Seems the ship's messing with ya me lass. She does that. As of the door. If you think it, it'll take you anywhere on the ship." He turned and walked away and waved her to follow. He would eventually stop at a door. "Think of your room and open the door." He said.

Kaiko did just that. And when she opened the door her room greeted her. She stepped into her room to find a barrel sitting next to her hammock. "Thanks, mister." She said as he closed the door.
