Though it is not widely known, the Luxian Solar Sovereign’s absence from public life has been due to a clandestine and nefarious exploit. Thalya IV Imperatrix has acquired the lost rune of Æternus, with which she plans to undo her past misdeeds and start fresh in a more favorable timeline. This plot, uncovered by Prince Vrædyn and shared with Talon and the Silver Sentinels, has led the Sovereign to neglect her duties in the present plane of existence. Prior to her abandonment, she named her son, Arkænyn the Platinum, as steward of the realm. The foreign-raised prince quickly found himself out of his depth and relied heavily on his Regium Consilium to assume the responsibilities of his position, whilst he availed himself of decadent offerings he never experienced during his youth in Auris.
As the Royal House of the Umbrium consolidates power and expands their influence in the lands afield of the capital, the Luxium struggles in the absence of Silver Sentinel oversight. Factions begin to sprout up in both realms calling for reunification under a single Crown.

Solunarian archæologists have begun to delve into a newly discovered ruin that was uncovered in the Sorokyn mines during routine excavation procedures in Frost. The Silver Sentinels, which are still reorganising due to the transition of power that leaves them the primary policing, military, and intelligence service for the Umbrium, are taking on private contractors to explore the ruins for sacred relics and other treasures. .[QUEST]

The Luxian Royal House of Sol’Aværys is set to host a masked ball at the Palatium Furiarum. An enthusiastic Prince Arkænyn has found a facet of princehood at which he easily excels: party-planning. Per his explicit command, the Luxian prince regent has seen fit to host the elite of both the upper and undercity at a Masquerader’s Masquerade. Prince Arkænyn’s invitations express his intent to cast aside the political complexities of contemporary Solunarium for a single anonymous evening of revelry. Costumes and magical forms of camouflage are encouraged. Only the court Semblers of the Luxium and Umbrium will be permitted to exploit their Crafts for the wellbeing of all in attendance, while guests are explicitly forbidden from any attempts to pervade the concealing effects of the guests’ disguises. Those who defy this mandate will be punished with immediate expulsion from the event and public shaming for being poor sports.[PROMPT]
75 Ash, 123: ANNIVERSARIVM ACCESSIONIS REGIÆ
The Umbrium rejoices in recognition of the first anniversary of the Zalkyrian accession. This date marks a year since Zalkyriax Zalkyrialis Rex Draconum, Vigil Vulcani et Pater Atraxiæ pressed his claim upon the Umbrian throne and usurped the crown of the undercity from Solar Sovereign Thalya IV Imperatrix. Public appearances by the royals are expected and many Zalkyrian vassals are taking the excuse to revel in honour of their draconic liege lords.[OPEN PROMPT]
